"Poetry is a matter of taste but some poems are just plain bad."
I saw this video a few weeks back and thought it a perfect one to share in the Critique Corner this week. I believe everyone in life needs to be willing to make fun of themselves every once in and a while don't you agree? I thought a change of pace in this series would be nice so I offer us a bad poetry day of our own. For this weeks critique corner share with us a your worst poem or better yet write one down really fast after reading this and post it, be sure to use as many cliches as possible. If you don't have a bad poem of your own to share or are just a little shy link to a classic poem that you just cannot understand why people like it.
Please remember this week we know all the poems will be bad so you have to be willing to laugh a bit at yourself when you post your own. I have some poetry I look back and and wonder what in the heck was I thinking. The reason we are all here is to get a little better so by posting your worst its only up from there right?
I hope you have fun with this and I cant wait to read some wonderfully bad poetry. Oh and on a side note for all you amazingly talented folks....just fake it and write a bad one for exercise sake lol.
(I may use this as a contest over at Poets United depending on how well received it is here.)
