It is my pleasure to welcome all to the garden, where I hope you will feel a touch of Spring in the air. If you have any seasonal poems you would like to share today, we would love to read them, or select another poem which you would like to link up. Anything goes in the garden on Monday.
Part of the magic of our Open Link is that it is relatively small, with generally fewer than 30 links. This means that it is possible to enjoy several poems, without the time spent reading becoming too much of a chore. However, when visitors link up but do not visit other sites to read the work of the poets who have linked alongside them, it is very noticeable. The garden will be of no value to such a person, because the lack of interest in the work of others will be returned. Let Spring be our guide this month: make new connections and renew old acquaintances so that we can all grow together.

ReplyDeleteJust linked up with a poem that was in part an attempt fit the "man in uniform" prompt, but ended up not being right for that. But it is fitting for spring. I will be back this evening when I get home to enjoy the other poems that are linked up. Thanks for hosting!

ReplyDeleteMary Ann Potter--I tried to go over to your blog, but for some reason I am not able to open blogs that have shabbyblog.com them (I have no idea why, I've had that problem for over a year). American woodcock chicks are precocial, meaning they are able to leave the nest within a few hours after hatching. So it very well could be that your woodcock babies hatched and left the nest with their parents. Hopefully that was the case! (and hopefully you will see this comment. I appreciate you coming over to my blog.)
