...where real toads like to hang out every Monday.
Good day to all members and followers of Real Toads. Ellen Wilson sent me a selection of photos to get us in the holiday spirit, and this nest looks like it belongs in an imaginary garden. Our weekly Open Link provides all-comers with the opportunity to share a poem, either recent or something saved in the archives. There are no rules, just the simple stipulation to link up your original work, free from advertising your personal meme, and the encouragement to visit and comment on the work of other poets who use this space. Our prime motivation is to grow through sharing and to support the writing of others, while being inspired ourselves.
I might not have time Monday morning so I am linking now. I hope to see all of your work!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday. I will visit yours later today.
ReplyDeleteThis is a few years old, but since I couldn't come up with anything new for "missing," this has been on my mind. RIP, Mister.
ReplyDeleteI always find it hard to choose what to link, off to choose something now
ReplyDeleteI also posted this on Sunday Mini-Challenge.
ReplyDeleteHappy December everyone!
ReplyDeletei had some things come up that have me running behind, but i will be back asap to visit everyone!

ReplyDeleteKerry, I have broken the rules a bit, but I hope you will indulge me today. I won't do it again. Have a wonderful marvelous week!
ReplyDeleteKerry, I actually wrote this while we were away, then forgot about it until this afternoon. O well, I'm only 19th, not 75th or something.
ReplyDeleteNow to make a few calls on others' blogs.

I'm late to the garden party, but don't worry! I'll visit you all tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI am taking a couple days break - and will catch up on Sunday & Monday's comments as soon as I can. I need to help my kids deal with the loss of our dog, Moxie. We will be picking her up tomorrow and putting her to sleep most likely on Wednesday. I don't think I have ever cried this much.
ReplyDeleteSorry, it seems my the link I put on takes me right back to real toads. Blogger is really acting up for me tonight.
ReplyDeleteSo it's Tuesday. This was written for a prompt last Wednesday. Gee, Mr. Linky was closed at dverse, what a surprise? And my butt? NOT in gear! Thanks, Kerry, because I worked hard on this and there's a favorite photo of mine in it... Peace, Amy

Kerry, thank you for including my late poem (about my late mother) in the Linky section. I am one who does not "drop and run," and today, I finally came back (depression/ MRI of brain pan, busy week and rather hard, frankly) and read a bunch of these. Such an amazing group of toads, and all so real. This writing and this community? They give me hope. Bless you. Peace, Amy
ReplyDeleteSorry that my link didn't take. I'll try again if you could please remove that one.
ReplyDeleteThis is a response to last week's prompt. I am really slow.
In case Mr. Linky doesn't work:
