Poems in April ~ Late night conversations with the muse

The sky tonight is a palette of midnight blue and poetry that pierces through the heart of the moon. Greetings poets, wayfarers and friends. Welcome to the third day in April.

For today's challenge I invite you all to write about late night. Come share with us a poem that describes what goes through your mind or appeals to you during this time when the stars are somewhere behind the moodiness of the clouds.

Choose your own form or write in free verse, if preferred. I look forward to reading what you guys come up with. Please do visit others and remember to comment on their poems. Have fun!🍣

  1. 'when the stars are somewhere behind the moodiness of the clouds.' A line of poetry in itself, Sanaa!

  16. My kind of poem, Sanaa. I've penned, meaning keyed on my smart phone, sitting on the edge of the bed. After all, how can I not, "there is something about late night that appeals
    to the senses,
how do I surrender to sleep?"
    ..
