The Tuesday Platform

Hello fellow poets and poetry lovers! Here in the Northeast USA, we're still feeling winter's chill (it just snowed yesterday) but spring isn't too far off. The sound of birds calling to their prospective mates and sight of buds appearing on some trees and shrubs are already lifting my spirit. I've also found myself inspired by pop culture, especially the new Black Panther movie, which left me feeling hopeful.

Hopefully you're inspired to share some poetry. Submit a poem, new or old, to inspire everyone in our pond in the link below. Don't forget to see what your fellow poets have created this week. If you like something, don't keep it to yourself. Conversation and constructive feedback in the comments section is always welcome.

  4. I regret I have no new offering today, just the poem I linked up late to Rommy's Love Hurts prompt. Many thanks to those who have already commented.

  6. Hello everyone! My poem is written from experiences I've never really put words to. So thankful I find myself in a better frame of mind with my battle with fibromyalgia this winter.

  7. Hello all... I link up some grey writing tonight... we actually have some decent winter and it has shortened my bicycle trip to work as I can take a shortcut across the ice... I love winter.

  9. Hi everyone! I'm linking up the poem I wrote for Paul's prompt over at dVerse. I've been trying to have a bit of a clean up before I go to my daughter's for the birth of my first grandson. I'll be travelling down on 3rd March if all goes to plan. But then, he may arrive early. I'm packing a bag tomorrow just in case.

  10. Spring has sprung. I know the ground hog saw his shadow and has taken spring to hide with him. But here we've had two nice weeks of spring like weather and now it's hot. In the high eighties several days. High seventies and eighties from here, we are having Texas summer early. I wrote a bit about that and the birds, thanks for telling that you triggered a lot of bird writings.

  12. We've had extreme heat here and it took some doing to protect my cat from heat-stroke. Which is my wonderful excuse for the fact thatI'll be slow to read your poems this time; everything but cat care having piled up

  13. oh, I want to go see Black Panther. Thanks for the heads up.

It's gotten cold down here in Arizona -- at least cold for us. Tonight the low is supposed to be 34F/1C. Still it's not as cold as up North. I did a post about ice music on Tuesday which seemed perfect.
