GOOD MORNING. I don't like to post first but someone has to be there. I woke up at four, couldn't sleep so I read this. I was reminded of Napoleon's Wife statue remaing in a Martinique city park after being beheaded. Had coffee, took the Eagle's picture, and wrote this. Karin's 2016 prompt was fine fun. The news is horrible this morning, shut in till May, time for a nap.

I'm still feeling poorly, have a doctor's appointment this afternoon, and we're feeling a bit low due to my husband's friend's funeral today - only close family can attend. I hope everyone else is having a happy, sunny Thursday. I hope to get back to normal soon.

So sorry to hear about your ill health and recent loss, Kim. I think today should be one of rest for you.

Though I missed my own prompt yesterday, I do have something for Day 16. Kim, I am sorry for the sad occasion. April is taking away too many.

Time for the back half, ay, Garden Dwellers?

And on to Day 17. Alas, I will not be writing haiku, as it is not to my taste but I shall certainly enjoy those linked up!

I would write a haiku except that doing so would go against everything I believe in, and I might lose control and start reading poetry written by celebrities, or even Nicholas Sparks novels. I can't risk it.

I'm struggling today, but I managed a haiku

Happy International Haiku Poetry Day 2020, Garden Dwellers! I have my son to thank for the idea behind this haiku sequence!

Happy Day 18 - also my late mother's birthday, so a special day of remembrance for me.

We all could do with some encouragement, these days. My condolences, Kerry, and my thoughts and prayers are with you on your memorial.

I always think I don't like word lists, but I might have to revise that opinion. I enjoyed Day 19 (even with the challenge of choosing a different list from the one I picked last time around).
