What a stunning photo! And Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteI agree, very cool image! Smiles to everyone!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much as always for hosting this. Here's my Sun-Tanned Limerick.
ReplyDeleteI've been rather busy for the last few weeks and hence also irregular.but here's another monday and happy blogging to you all.
ReplyDeleteLife got in the way, now site is bookmarked and Ill be back and reading, so hello to all :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday ~
ReplyDeleteI experimented with the Florette form and posted it here ~
A playful one from me.
ReplyDeleteHappy week ahead, everyone. :)
That is a fabulous picture.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week all. Thanks for the prompt Kerry.
good morning, everyone! have a great week!
ReplyDeleteMorning Toads!!!! Linking of you......had a fab weekend, but need to get down to some reading this week. Hope yours is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteMy rosette poem... hope I did it right!
ReplyDeleteA poem for Sunday on a Monday.
ReplyDeleteHappy week to all.
Happy Monday to all! I've been reflecting on what it means to be a toad. You get kisses from lots of women, but never any repeats, as the girls go off muttering something about a "prince." Such is life.
ReplyDeleteMy offering today is "An American Pastoral." I hope that my themes are universal enough that you'll be able to identify with them no matter where you reside on this little ball spinning in space.
Adrian, I tried to comment on your site, but since I do not use facebook, yahoo or AOL, I could not post it there. Here's what I said:
ReplyDeleteWow! Amazing that the entire first paragraph is genuinely one sentence. Fabulous prose poetry.
My fave lines: pray in a bowl of filth that the dogs of war lap from a saucer of milk
I am catching up on weekend postings for leaving comments, will come back and visit all you lovely Real Toad writers soon!! And maybe have a new poem to share too!
ReplyDeletegorgeous image, Kerry
ReplyDeleteMine probably won't taste like the cup of tea most like to drink. But it might be worth sampling.
ReplyDeleteP.S. All my comments have been going to spam folders on WordPress. Is this happening to anyone else?
ReplyDeleteHi Kerry- I don't know if this is correct but since I was so late with Fleurette also posted the same link here? Feel free to take it down from either place if this isn't right.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the challenge. k.
Adrian, I couldn't comment on your blog. So I'll post here instead. I hope you're able to read it. Or perhaps someone else can post it on your blog for me:
ReplyDeleteAdrian, this was hard on my eyes, but I loved it!
These are my favorite sections:
"iridescent incantations leaving worms to burrow into my knees"
"sodden undercurrent in aqua and teal"
"paint an oblique disguise"
"cast in a bringer of wings singed in brass less oxidised"
Sorry to post this here, Toads. I just really liked this piece and wanted to comment.
Oh no! I am so sorry!
ReplyDeleteI tripped the [Enter] button before completing the link, so my first entry goes nowhere... the second is the correct link!
Some of you may have already read "When I Died" before. But for those who haven't yet, it is the follow-up to my vampire sonnet "The First Deadly Sin", which I linked to here last week.
Shawna, you wanted to know about posts going to Spam on Word Press blogs. I had a horrible issue with this. I had to deal with the "Akismet" people who finally got the situation fixed. It took perseverance and was VERY frustrating for a while.
ReplyDeleteHi All , sorry for replying here. My site is a blogger account, bounced to my website, so if you can comment here you should be able to there. Or just do an anonymous comment and add yr name at the end.... SO I am unsure what else I can do in regards to the comment issue. And thanks for the comments.
ReplyDeleteSorry about this... try this link under the poem

Aidz - that was the link I used but after writing my comment I was asked to sign in with an account I do not have, so it rejected my attempt.
ReplyDeleteProbably nothing from me, might be nothing for a while until life gets back to normal. Kitchen renovation, yay, but nothing can be found anywhere.
