Ah, the joys of scheduled posting!
By the time you read this, the U.S. presidential election will (finally!) be over, and a winner will have been declared. But as I'm typing this, the voting is just getting underway. It's been a long, nasty, campaign, and the candidates are dead even in the polls. I've cast my vote; now, all I can do is wait . . .

So, give me the news, Toads! Who won? Break it to me gently . . . in twenty words or less.

Hmmm. Not so sure I participate in this one....
Thanks for this Prompt, Mama Zen. It gave me the last part of my Election Day poem. Margaret, I may have missed it as I have been unable to read everything lately, but--if not a poem--I would welcome reading a blog about your wishes for our government. Lead on!
I knew I would be my writing would definitely be taking a political flavor today, guess at least one thing worked out well!
Intriguing...but my brain is so tired...mmy I have an idea! :D
I'm afraid I can't really comment on the issues as I'm largely ignorant of them, but I shall read today's responses with great interest.
:)
Thank you Mama Zen! :)'s to ALL!
Morning toads. I'm finding it really hard to write atm--or even to read and take in poetry. I hope to be over it soon.
I also hope this very close nailbiter of an election convinces our leaders to work together instead of reviling each other from both sides and fighting against the compromise I think all reasonable adults expect to happen in a country this diverse.
Thanks to all who enjoyed my zinnia photo on Monday, also. I hope to be back reading, writing and posting soon.
Could have said it just as eloquently in fewer than 20 LETTERS :-)
We were happily ensconced in a bar full of progressives, nursing our beer, having dinner, and watching results.
For my sisters' sake, I'm sorry it was such a rout. Kind of like the Detroit Tigers losing the series 4-0 and the final loss being in their home town.
Now comes the hard work... getting Congress to do something besides collecting a paycheck!
Peace to all, Amy
Good morning all!
OK... Don't crucify me ;$
zinnia! i think i called it an aster. how obviously wrong. shame on me!
Thank you all for participating! I've been out and about all day with doctors appointments and school stuff, but I'll be around as soon as I can!
20 words is really really hard to do, MZ!
Thanks for the prompt Mama Zen...there have been so many words flying in the last year it would be nice to sum it up in just a few.
