Ay caramba. It's me, Fireblossom, back from the land of broken keyboards. Who knew spray cleaner could be so deadly? Last Friday, Mama Zen kindly stood in for me, so here I am, standing in it on a Wednesday!
My original day to post was December 7th, which is Pearl Harbor Day here in the United States. My misadventure with Spic N Span has only filled me with a terrible resolve (Resolve?) to go with my original theme ... calamities.
I want you to write about the roof caving in.
Tell me about a bad diagnosis
or a failed romance.
Write a poem about getting that pink slip, or slipping down some other slippery slope.
They say, if you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs, then you don't understand the situation!
No retreads, please. No off-topic haiku about the pretty flowa. Gimme disaster, baby, then sign the linky so the schadenfreude can begin!

It just so happens we had a natural disaster in town this week.
Love the cat quote.
There will be more "roofs caving in" from my pen. This is just the first that came to mind. Thank you for hitting the ground running after your computer keyboard disaster.
Basement CAT! ha ha A true disaster.... will have to think on this one... No pretty flowers ruined by my lack of a green thumb? Sigh.
Yikes! Can I just go with a random diary entry?
I have a long workday today, kids, but will visit and comment as I am able - and catch up tomorrow:) Back later!
'They say, if you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs, then you don't understand the situation!' Ha, that made me laugh...I think "they" may be right.
Whoa...slippery slope! Which one, eenie, meanie?! ;D I'll be back~
Happy all is going well for you and a belated Happy Anniversary~
This should be easy All my poems are disasters. Great prompt, FB.
I will submit mine a bit late... busy with kids at school and the art intensive "showcase" at college.
I tried, so points for effort
My calamity is personal..I hadn't spoken about it in ages...
Toads, work is kicking my happy little ass, but I am off on Friday and will be around then. Plz be patient with me!
all my poems are disasters, too, but i wrote about the roof caving in :)
I am ever a day behind these days, but no matter. Inspiring, Fireblossom. Inspiring!
UGH - the image of this calamity has never left me nor do I think it ever will.
Great prompt, o fiery one! Just dodged a bullet on an MRI of my brain and I'm sick of writing about depression et al., so how about getting gloriously fired?! I love stories with happy endings. Amy

so much calamity, which to choose? off to ponder
This one took me a while. My mother in law was just diagnosed with breast cancer and is still not back in her home after Hurricane Sandy. My own mother has battled breast cancer twice. My father has had esophageal cancer. Cancer really does suck.
Here I am finally..be 'round to toads. :)
There are certain point in our life that we encounter failure but it doesn't mean you will lose hope and give up everything but it only means that every failure there's an exchange and that is new beginning.
