I am not one to wish my life away, but I am counting the weeks until the end of February, because it is the hottest month of the year in my part of the world. The temperature soars, humidity is high and thunderstorms are our only hope of relief. However, I am certain that there are many other Real Toadians who have had enough of the Winter and are looking forward to the Spring of 2013. Whatever the weather, all are warmly greeted this Monday in the garden. Please link up a poem of your choice and spend some time reading and relaxing in our poetic environment.

Lovely morning here. Hope it is the same for all of you. My first little walk out of doors today.
While posting this poem, I'm listening to "Unchained Melody" sung by the Righteous Brothers. Ghosts was in my mind.
I wrote my poem, Tear, as a memory to my late mother, who passed on three years ago today.

Hello Toads!
As always, Open Link Monday gives me the opportunity to showcase my poems on the various aspects of gender inequality and oppression of women in India.
I'm sorry that they are a grim way to start the week, but it is important to acknowledge this issue, more so since it is a concept that is (thankfully) a bit harder to make sense of in Western cultures. Today's piece is on "honour"-killings.
I hope you will spread the message in your own ways, in your own words, or at least think of the victims and condemn the perpetrators of such senseless violence...

Hey, hey, hey!!!! Posted a new one for a change. Happy Monday...when my week ends, I will be jetting off to Mexico for a spell. A place that is very inspirational for me so maybe I will get my sh*& together and write some stuff.
