 A warm welcome is once again extended to all on-line poets who would like to share their poetry with the Real Toads community. I like to see this as a forum with the sole function of encouraging creativity of the written word and hope that those who make use of our open link embrace the opportunity to share and participate by reading and commenting on the work of fellow poets.

    I do not like being first, but fear I may forget to post tomorrow. I enjoyed the desert poems and the 14 liners. I post one that fits the latter. I'll be by to read on Tuesday.

    After the heavy dose of hard-hitting reality of Sunday's 14 liner, I decided to share something on a lighter note :) It isn't quite lyrical poetry, but it was something fun!

    'beem'? 'been' of course.
    For a minute there I thought I'd stumbled on a brand new word.
    Sadly not so: it is obsolete for a 'trumpet'. Who'd have thought.

    It has been a while since I participated in open link Monday. It's so nice being able to read everyone else's works again. :)
