So begins the third week of NaPoWriMo! I have been blown away by the overall standard of the poetry that has been linked to our prompts, and I am sure that many other poems have been written since OLM last week, which we have not all had the opportunity to read yet. Feel free to share what you have written with us today. All our regular Members and Followers, who have opted out of the attempt to complete 30 poems in April, are invited to link up poems of their choice, either old or new. With so much extraordinary poetry around we should have a wealth of reading material to enjoy today.
Well, Kerry, you'll be blown away by the overall non-standard of my submission today. I've been fooling around with this one for a while, and another one, too, so it was either my dear Mr. Kipling again, or something called "toast and dentures" (for which you'll have to wait at least a week).
ReplyDeleteSuch fun to see my name in Place No. 1, but I'm sure that when I post my comment, I'll see I've been usurped by others in other time zones.
Am loving this challenge by the way.

Mine's a quickie, hot of the presses!
ReplyDeleteI've been blown away too: by the kindness of the toads as a group and by the wonderfully encouraging atmosphere you created here for members and followers alike.
ReplyDeleteIt has made this month's journey extra special.
Day 15!! Phew.
ReplyDeleteyeah, 15! keep cranking em out, friends!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you gift us with flowers on each Monday, Kerry. It looks like flowers will thrive here this spring.
ReplyDeletetoday I've been writing poetry that makess me laugh in an attempt to lift myself out of the funk. I hope you enjoy it too
ReplyDeleteWell, the first "crowns" of crocuses have presented, so I'm hoping the birthing won't be long now!
ReplyDeleteThis month has been a joy so far, and I've linked up one of maybe two that was a non-Toads poem.
Still reeling from the beauty of Joaquin Sorolla y Batista. Went to a site and got images of a hundred paintings. Extraordinary.
Love to all my Toads, Amy
Last tanka ~~ promise (at least for a while.) Thank you for the brief respite, Kerry.
ReplyDeleteA wild and rollicking tale for you this time, Toads, and amazingly, it's all true.
ReplyDeleteGood Monday to all of you. I will be back later to read and comment. Love these creative Monday poems.
ReplyDeletePoetry has always been pretty hard for me, but at least I'm trying.

Happy Monday...I am frantically playing catch up with my goal of 30 poems in 30 days. Six more poems to write. I pray I an make it!! So much grief on my mind!
ReplyDeleteServes me right for posting in the wee hours in order to be #1. Found a plethora of typos today, and Susan found one for me.
ReplyDeleteFrom now on, I'll be content with being last, after I've done some serious proofreading and editing.
