Open Link Monday

Welcome to the Imaginary Garden...

Source
My warm greetings to all toads, followers and friends. It is that time of the week when we all get together to share our poetry and hang out for a while in this happy space. Please take the time to leave a comment once you have linked up the poem of your choice, and visit with a few of the poets whose work is also linked here. In a small forum such as Real Toads, it is very evident if one among us does not bother to read anyone else's poetry. We do not use this opportunity to gather as many comments as possible, but to offer continued support for our fellow writers. Your observations and reviews are very helpful as feedback to a poet who strives to get the most out of his or her art. Above all, enjoy this Monday - may it be a happy day for all.

  6. Good morning all readers here today. I'm still basking in yesterday's sun: such a tonic after all those cold months. So hope it comes back again soon.
Wishing you her warmth where you are.

  8. Who knew I would get up early, think my Dad's sister, my Aunt Ann, and--with only coffee for fuel--write a new piece this morning? It's not fancy, but hey! Have a good week, poets.

  10. I was surprised this morning by a wild poetic hair, (or perhaps hare, which I followed down the rabbit hole) so I am joining in the fun for a change. Happy reading, all.

  11. Good morning (U.S. time), Kerry.
This is such a pretty picture. I love to be roof-top level at the edge of town. Or in the middle for that too. Each promotes its own line of thought.

This one reminds me of when we stayed in a villa on the outskirts of a smaller Italian town in Tuscony. My favorite in the middle of town was at the Downtown Hilton in Sydney, Aus. We looked down on the town hall and its surroundings.

  13. Pastor's Wife had a busy Sat. and Sun., so glad I got here today. Sunday's poem was posted late Saturday, when I had "alone time" before turning in... yikes! At least poetry and blogging is on my approved list for "mental health self care."

  15. "but to offer continued support for our fellow writers."

Thank you for saying as much. We write to connect so if readers don't comment, you feel alone. For me, commenting is about connection and courtesy. We can't comment to everyone all the time. To keep from going nuts, I read and comment first to those who take the time to share with me.

  16. OK I put up a separate blog, I would like to make one with all the poets on the side but do not know yet how - if any of you have advice maybe. Sorry some of my comments to poets did not get through. We are in many imaginary gardens so close yet so far away that the cloudy nights may seem boring or unbearable...and gardens beyond those of better days to surely come... we have different view but think not I offer here a false spring and sadness in my offerings

  17. Just before my trip to Sedona, the prompt here was violet which I loved. Violet became very important spiritually in Sedona so thought I'd share that with you.
