Wishing all visitors and dwellers in the garden a very happy Monday. The second week of February always carries with it the hope of love and a change of seasons - both traditionally proven to be effective inspiration for poetry. With this in mind, the invitation is once more extended to all who would like to share their work on this forum. There are no restrictions in terms of subject, theme or form, so long as your posts qualify under the genre of poetry. Poems written for other memes are also welcome, for a second viewing, as are older pieces from your archives. Above all, we hope that you enjoy your time spent here. Please take the time to visit other posts, and leave commentary. Your thoughts are always appreciated.

ReplyDeleteGreetings, fellow toadies of song. Yesterday a weird orb appeared over the horizon here in rain-drubbed Florida: shiny and gold and bright. Someone called it the sun but how can that be? I heard that winter ate it as a palate-cleanser before the ice-braised fricasee of Eskimo. Anyhoo ... Such yellowy warmth (up to around 80 today) makes an old poet remember Valentiney-hiney songs of gooey love. Burp!

ReplyDeleteHi Toadlings! Posted something from 2011 this morning - after a winter-that-was-not-winter, woke this morning to a dump of snow. Pretty, and it will melt soon and that will be the end of winter - we got off easy this year.

ReplyDeleteWinter is eating my brain, or rather ironing it, crease by crease. Why did we move to Wisconsin? Oh, yes, it really is a wonderful church. Besides, my hometown had much more gloom than here, where the sun does shine, even when it's below zero!
