Greetings wicked darling Toads…
This is a very busy month around my household. My Piano Man (the sweetest part of my heart) is a classical theater musician and conductor
who usually plays several shows at the same time. In any other month this is
just the norm—he does his music… I do my writing… we dance and kiss when we are
lucky enough to meet in the middle while we are both awake.
October is different, and this October seems wilder. We are
earthy witchy souls, in our home, so this is when we welcome the New Year. I
have a gazillion of medical appointments. I’m also publishing a short story
collection at the end of the month. We all know how stressful this can be.
October also marks the beginning of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, which
implies rehearsal madness for my dear heart and scheduling chaos for both of us.
I’m telling you all this, so you won’t be too surprised when
I take forever and a day to visit your wonderful word yum. I will make it
there, dear Toads, but it will probably take me a bit.

As always, Open Link Monday is for the sharing of diverse
poetic works, regardless of theme, format or publication date. Have fun and be deliciously spooky…It’s almost Halloween after all. *cackles*
No spookiness - haven't had time yet! :) I had two children in theatrical plays this past weekend and posted late to the "Play it Again" challenge - so I am linking up here with it as well. I will be by Monday evening to visit and comment.
ReplyDeleteI added a truly grizzly poem.. October and Halloween made me think of chthonic critters that seem to pop up everywhere.. I will comment tonight or early tomorrow morning (tonight is my writing course)...

ReplyDeleteGood Monday morning, Toads! Hope everyone is well. I've been absent, running around and running around some more. But, things are finally starting to calm down and I'm looking forward to hunkering down and writing. And reading. xoxox to all of you! M.
My prep for Halloween this year was taking candy to the kids on my block so I don't have to open my door to Trick or Treaters. I will put my car in the garage. I had a bad experience a few years back and stopped ... I will Light a Candle and pray back into my Jewish-Pagan-Quaker self. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday to all Toads. I'm pleased to be visiting the Garden again, and look forward to some great reading!
ReplyDeleteSuch a festive vibe in the garden this day! Thanks, Magaly, and greetings to all.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Kerry. Everybody is so busy, but here nonetheless. I love it!
ReplyDelete@Susan, you are a philosophy of religion research venture waiting to be explored. Happy New Year to you, too, dear friend! ♥
The poems I am sharing today are not my own but a sample of work by my students. Enter of you dare.....!
ReplyDeleteHey Magaly! My poem is really for the play it again Sam, but am linking up here. Thanks! k.
ReplyDeleteI messed up my first Linky link. Oops.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to reading these tonight.
How perfectly lovely! I shall be back to visit again. I've always loved poetry. How wonderful to have found you!
ReplyDelete@Kerry, can't wait to see what your students came up with. That's always an exciting adventure!
