Welcome to the 15th "Play it Again, Toads!" where we revisit archived challenges of this amazing Imaginary Garden. Choose your own from the archives on the sidebar (2011-2015) or select from three I've highlighted below.
You may use my i-phone photography I offer here - if so, please use the photo with an archived challenge. Click on any image to enlarge and see them more clearly. These images are from The Lightner Museum in St. Augustine, FL - originally one of Henry Flagler's majestic hotels, The Alcazar, and it had everything the rich could desire… a russian bath, spa, state of the art work out facility, casino, movie theatre, and the largest indoor pool in the world with retractable roof when it was built in 1888, among other things. In 1948, it was purchased by Chicago publisher Otto C. Lightner to house his … collection.
This video does a great job with its history. Enjoy.
Original poems only and link your specific post to Mr. Linky below. Please make it clear which challenge you are resurrecting by including a link. Sharing poetry and commenting on the other poetic endeavors is what makes this a fun place to be. So please don't forget to return a few times and visit and enjoy what is created here.
Hey Margaret--I sneaked a peak and wrote this one this morning--I didn't use the nun photo, but it fits and will try to put it in--try--I still have the flu, I'm afraid--am better but full of complaint--wonderful prompt, thanks. k.
The pics are wonderful--your trip sounds grand. k.
That is a really cool place, Margaret--wish I could have used one of your pics--but the direction my mind went was a bit unrelated.I hope you will let me take a rain check on them.
I was at the ER last night and saw some family drama while waiting for my daughter (nothing serious for her) ~ When I saw one of the pictures, my muse lighted up ~ Thanks for the lovely post & archived prompts ~ Happy weekend ~
My internet connection is on the fritz and will visit and respond when it is back up and running as it should and not this spotty, hailing connection. Thanks for playing and hope to be back soon.
Thanks for this old/new prompt for me! I'd been keeping my driving observation in my brain for years until the Poem Sketching technique unfolded it for me quite quickly.
Please feel free to also use the video as inspiration but make sure it links up with an archived challenge.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos, Margaret. I will be brooding--I am in the mood for a little form.
ReplyDeleteThank you for selecting three prompts from our archives to reconsider.
ReplyDeleteI seem to be on hold at the moment, as far as poetry is concerned. The muse does not speak. But I shall certainly enjoy reading the responses.
Here is an interesting post on the grand I ndoor swimming pool now converted into a dining establishment.
ReplyDeleteOops here it is. The photographs are great. http://www.digitalladysyd.com/?p=498
