Welcome to the Imaginary Garden ...
Greetings to all friends, followers and fellow writers on this first day of the month of March. I am sure we are all feeling the hints of season's change in the vibrations around us: the first buds of Spring, or orange leaf of Autumn. Poets draw so much inspiration from the natural world. Perhaps, as Ginsberg states in this Song, it is the true body to which we belong.
Please join us today in the sharing, reading and enjoyment of poetry.
Love is the burden of life, yet i think, he who has never carried that burden, lack deeply of life itself.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed this video reading Kerry
much love
Ginsberg's "Song", especially the last stanza, might explain my constant yearning for the heat of summer. In life and in poetry, I always lean towards where it's warm and warmer... Perhaps, my natural self is just longing for the Caribbean body that birth her.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful poem, Kerry. ♥

ReplyDeleteI hope you don't mind me linking up to something I wrote for Haiku Horizons but it's very spring-like and I think you'll enjoy it. Happy March 1st Toads! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't mind me linking twice, I have seen it done sometimes. I just wrote a haibun I think you might like. Can't wait to read everyone's work!
ReplyDeleteI'm quite busy at the moment, so I link up a poem I did a few weeks ago, but have never shared at this pond...
ReplyDelete"I hope you don't mind," of course you don't! I'll have to stop repeating myself outside of my poetry. ~giggle~ Been feeling rushed lately not anyone's fault here it's just life.
ReplyDeleteGood evening - it's almost midnight so I am posting now and will be back tomorrow evening to visit and comment. Thank you for hosting!
ReplyDeleteK- I really liked Ginsberg's piece. Thank you for the prompt.
ReplyDeleteNot normally a fan of Ginsberg and not sure if my poem fits but at least it belongs in a garden - thank you!
