It's a Barnum & Bailey world/ just as phony as it can be/ but it wouldn't be make believe/ if you believed in me.
The challenge this time is simple! Write something that makes us believe in something that isn't real. No autobiographical tell-alls this time! Make something up out of whole cloth and make us believe in the world, person, or thing that you create. That's it! Please make it a NEW poem or flash fiction. No haiku. Then sign the linky and visit others. have fun!
A wonderful prompt, Shay. I wish I could have done it justice, but the fogs in the brain have been inhibiting production at the muse factory--but I did have fun with this. Happy first day of retirement!
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmm, my addled brain is intrigued. I always love Fireblossom Friday. You must be SO HAPPY today. You and Zacky must celebrate. Drudgery is over. I am so happy for you. And for us, we will get to read more of your poems.
ReplyDeleteI wrote nonsense. I cant seem to write seriously at the moment...........does the Muse take summer vacations, I wonder?
