It is time to strike a pose again. Here is your photographic challenge for the April 30 Poems in 30 Days Challenge. In honour of this occasion, I am featuring two portrait shots. Please feel free to use one now and one later in the month, when the muse has been exhausted.
We have made it the first week - and what a lot of fun it has been. My vacation time will be over next week, so I am not sure if I can keep up the pace but I shall try to work through the mental exhaustion.
My contribution is the final part of a triptych I began last week - based on the El Lissitzky self portrait. My thanks to those who have already commented on Parts I & II.
Love me a photo [prompt and this one really resonated for reasons that will be quite obvious when you visit my poem for today.7 days in. Wow. Well done everyone.
I don't usually do photo prompts, from some notion that they don't inspire me much – but this one led me to an interesting experience from my past, which changed my thinking.
This was a fun prompt, I hardly ever do them justice but I have fun writing for them. I love the picture to discuss. I called him a B**c man. Thank you, Kerry, for all you do here, ..
Hey Madame of the Blossoms of Fire Do you seriously want to noodle yourself into knots ca-noodling with Haiku? Pulling on the pencil skirt and starched with blouse, with a blazer - so smart and powerpoint precise in the dicing or words, the deconstruction reduction of fat from the bone. Bone sucking is good for the marrow, but so is a perfectly rendered , slightly salty bit of fat, peppercorned black for the char.
Congrats to you and everyone who has deliriously made it through so far.
Thanks for another great prompt Kerry! Fascinating images! And for all your time and effort and running about here and everywhere. I hope you have a wonderful weekend - and your end of vacation is a smooth transition for you.
Now, congrats to everyone - prompt hosts and everyone playing along - this is really an awesome experience!
and I'm running slow ... on steam ... but I'll chug through and happy weekend everyone
I am back from sunny and 75 to rainy and chilly and possible snow tonight. Ugh. I also came home to a keyboard that my cat had hacked up a hairball on and ruined it. Had to go and buy me a new keyboard and had a bit of trouble with a few things - (had to go into system preferences and figure out how to change (properly label) a few command keys (I moved from an Apple keyboard to a Microsoft ergonomic keyboard - LOVE it by the way. Anyway... I will start catching up on the older prompts I missed commenting on this month.
I don't post often here, but I am participating in GloPoWriMo and you saved my life yesterday with this prompt. I used the second photo as inspiration.
Loved the prompt, Kerry!💜 I was instantly drawn to the second image. Day 7! Phew! Happy weekend, everyone🍹

That is a very compelling photo, Kerry. You have the eye for these. If it inspires any words, I will be back.
