Summer-kissed greetings, my dear
Toads. Since Rommy is busy readying her eldest for his first year of college
freshmanhood, I’ve taken a wee break from my hosting hiatus to fill in for
her.
On this summery Tuesday (I might
be drunk on summer *don’t tell*) let us share a new poem, or an old poem, or a
screaming poem, or a summer-kissed poem, or… well, any poem you like.
As one of our very own poets sagely suggests, in her Dirt Road Dreams:
“Life
is a poem
just
waiting to be written,
lift
your pen and speak.”
Please add the direct link to
your poem to Mr. Linky. Visit other Toads. Speak summer poetry.
Let us do poetry, everyone! and summer... let us do summer, too. ;-)
ReplyDeleteOr ramble from summer shade beside the pool. Telling tales of ins and outs.

My earlier Mr Linky seemed not to link to the page I asked it too, so I shall try againHERE
ReplyDeleteSorry Mr Linky won't let me enter the correct link, but the one in my comment above works fine!
ReplyDeleteMy poem is definitely summer-kissed :) xx
ReplyDeleteHey poets, it's been a while since I last linked. I hope everyone is doing well. I look forward to reading the many diverse expressions I have had come to love and admire.
ReplyDelete-HA
My poem is a late reply to Karin's Walt Whitman prompt.
ReplyDeleteThank you for being our gracious host today, Magaly. It is always a treat to partake of your positive energy! And thank you for sharing Susie's words.
Hooray for the toads!
@Jim, It was a rather fun ramble.
ReplyDelete@Jinksy, The second link worked. And I deleted the first. Thank you!
@Marian, Summer-kissed and cucumber at the ready! ;-D
@HowAnxious, Welcome back.
@Kerry, I feel the urge to memorize a stanza or three of your poem, just so that I can recite them at pokers and probers during my next sleepover.
I haven't been here in a while. I posted my poem, 'Tree Memory' about losing my favorite summer shade tree eight years ago. I still miss it... xo
ReplyDeleteso glad to have made it today....Love the quote from Susie's lovely book!!
ReplyDeleteEvening, Toads! Thanks, Magaly!
ReplyDelete@Marion, I hope you can soon grow something new.
ReplyDelete@Carrie, Me too! *giggles*
@Frank, Welcome. :-)
Thanks for playing, everyone. I enjoyed your words. I hope the rest of your week is extra yummy.
