So, my toadally awesome friends, choose any fairy tale you wish and re-write it. Give it a better or worse ending, switch it up, make it current, or write a new one of your own. The prompt's wide open. Have fun!

ReplyDeleteHa, I came up with another one. It appears I have many tales inside me. Smiles.
ReplyDeleteNice Prompt Sherry. I went to Saturn for my inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI am so enjoying your poems! Smiles!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful prompt, Sherry! Thanks for the inspiration. :-)
ReplyDeleteI hope to have time for this tomorrow... fairy tales are fun but I think I need to sleep on this one.
ReplyDeleteMay your dreams be full of enchanting tales!
ReplyDeleteLove it. I'll be back.
ReplyDeleteLove love LOVE these, always. A common theme in my writing. Thanks, Sherry! (and Kerry). Back soon to make my rounds. :)
ReplyDeleteYay!
ReplyDeleteKids, I will be travelling all day today, going down-Island to my daughter's. I wont have access to internet till evening, so I will comment on any poems that come in today once I am there and settled in. Thank you so much for joining in. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI will be out tonight, but will return to comment either later in the evening or tomorrow when I have time.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bjorn. Have a nice time.
ReplyDeleteThank you for revisiting this prompt, Sherry.
ReplyDeleteI could spend a million years just with this prompt. I fell in love with rewritten fairy tales back in the 80's, when I discovered Tanith Lee's book RED AS BLOOD, TALES FROM THE SISTERS GRIMMER. I'm now a proud member of the Australian Fairy Tale Society, and have spent this year participating two workshops run by Carina Bissett that work with retold fairy tales and myths. So very delicious.
ReplyDeleteThose workshops must be a blast, Helen. I loved your poem. I can see a book of them, wouldnt that be a fun read?
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I'm so late with this one, Sherry! Thank you for the un-fairy tale prompt.
