Hello, friends!
With the new year, let’s try a new weekend challenge here in the Garden. Let’s try allowing just one word to provide a springboard for our poems and see what happens.
Our first word is one that I (and maybe you?) associate with T.S. Eliot:
hollow
Please take this word anywhere it leads you and share with us what you create. Enjoy!
Thanks for the new prompt, Marian, and for hosting this weekend. After a tricky week, I've kept my poem short and sweet. I hope all toads are keeping warm or cool, depending on the hemisphere in which they find themselves. :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful prompt, Marian. Thank you.
ReplyDeletethanks for hosting Marian -
ReplyDeletesometimes one word - just.one.word. is a door to infinite possibilities -
and nothing helps dance the bitter cold January blues, despite the sun - like some word play
~ looking forward to checking back later to read where people have imaginatively wandered in their words ....
This is a resurrection of "A Word With Laurie" that we used to have. Cool enough. :-)

ReplyDeleteHello Toads. I've missed you all. I finally found a few words to share. I've read some of yours already, and can't wait to get to the rest.
ReplyDeleteFriends, in case anyone is checking here, I'm so sorry to be absent from my own prompt. I have been sooo sick, but I am coming through it. I just wanted to let you all know that I'm going to sit down and spend some time with your poems on the coming weekend. xo
