Greetings, ink-kissed Toads and
visitors. If you’re participating on 30/30 in April, you have my respect. I did
it once. And when the thought of doing it again reached my mind, my sweet muse
threatened to dropkick my skull until the thought of 30 poems in 30 days
spilled out screaming.
For the 13th day of Poems in April,
I invite you to write a new poem that includes 3 book titles (each title must
contain at least 3 words, and you must
not rearrange or delete any of the words).
Choose titles from your
favorite books. Or, follow this link to Goodreads. Please, list your chosen titles.
Add the direct link to your poem
to Mr. Linky. Visit other Toads. Keep enjoying 30/30 in April.
Phew! An intriguing challenge, Magaly. My word of the day is 'light' and I managed to find several book titles which include that word. This is a very different concept - one which I would not have considered using without a prompt.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed writing to this prompt!π Thanks for the weekend fun, Magaly ππ
ReplyDeleteKeeping the titles exactly as they were was a challenge! But I can't resist a good challenge, especially when books are involved.
ReplyDelete@Kerry, I thought it would be interesting to play with a prompt that requires us to wrap our ideas around a very solid center (or 3 titles π). I was attracted by the idea of having to fit a titles tense, for instance, in a poem. I'm glad the prompt felt... intriguing and, perhaps, different.
ReplyDelete@Sanaa, I am so glad! I hope your weekend is fantastic, too.
@Rommy, Tell me about it. I had to stare at the page for a very long time to make my chosen titles fit in a way that different feel artificial, in a way that kept the tone smooth. I'm pleased with the result, of course (since it has books in it) *giggles*.
First choose your favourite books.... No problem there, I have so many favourites! Which was a big help. But then tonight's mood dictated which I chose, and that was good too. Well, not the initial mood, but where the poem shifted it to. Poetic therapy!
ReplyDelete@Rosemary, I chose some titles before I wrote the poem, and the muse pretty much laughed at me and I had to let her dance around some she liked. It was fun to let her have her fun.
ReplyDeleteAnd "poetic therapy" is my favorite! Off to read your offering.
Hello Magaly- A fantastic prompt! Thank you for the creative idea.
ReplyDeleteHi Magaly, enjoyed your prompt, something challenging and different. Fun too,,
ReplyDeleteGreat challenge...I went all in book title :)
ReplyDelete... 25 books I used! I loved this prompt.
ReplyDelete@Linda, You are most welcome!
ReplyDelete@Ellecee, Thank you for saying so. I was certainly going for "challenging and different". :-)
@Susie, I'm still thinking of elephants and rhymes...
@Margaret, I just finished reading yours and... Wow! Thank you for the book list, too--I shall steal at least three. :-D
