LOL, I was getting caught up on work stuff for the weekend and was thinking, "Damn, I need to do something chill and unfussy soon" when I saw the prompt.
It seems that everyone had something brewing (and trying to burst) today. I had a bit of a... situation earlier, which ended up making all my physical pains a bit nastier, so when I saw your deliciously filthy word *cackles* I jumped in it, looked for a list of inspiring bits I've been holding on to for a time just like this, and I let it rip! Thanks a million, Marian.
Hi, friends, just a quick point of clarity: Unlike word list prompts, it is NOT a requirement of Just One Word that the prompt word actually appear in the poem. It's intended to inspire and may be used in our poems or not. Wide open prompt!
I'm loving all of these poems... a joy to read them over coffee this morning.
Yay! I'm first today! I had a poem trying to write itself the last few days, so when I saw your word, I let it out.
ReplyDeleteHaha, from here it looks like Rommy is first! Two early birds, two deliciously muddy poems. Yay! It's the weekend, let's get dirty.

ReplyDeleteHappiest readings, everyone!
Perfect for Izy! (muddy buddies) ;-)
ReplyDeleteMuddy makes me think of trenches unfortunately
ReplyDeleteI love this new challenge - one word. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteAnother fun prompt one word. I was set for fairly traditional muddy road when I got to the muddy dog. We've had two. I picked the blind one.
ReplyDelete..
When I first saw this challenge, I didn't know where I would go with it. A conversation I had on Facebook brought me to a poem.
