Fireblossom Joins A Convent

Okay, so I lied. And that's what I want you to do. That's right...

Bullshit me!

Write a poem that does NOT reflect your true feelings. Write a new poem for this challenge, and channel your inner opposite. Then sign the linky even though there's no way I'm going to visit any of you. Aw, there I go again. I promise to visit each and every one!

Trust me, Toads.

  2. Hmmm.... Reminds me of my homemade syllogism:

    Poets lie.
    I'm a poet.
    Don't believe a word I say.

  3. You are so lying ;D
ooh, channel my flip flop twin...
and then convince everyone its not me...difficult, but intriguing!

  7. I don't think it sounds difficult(but then I don't think Kerry's mini-challenges *sound* difficult either--then I do them and lose more hair.) I am off the writing thing till after the election but if anything boils up I will post back and mention this creative and very non-run-of-the-mill prompt, Shay.

  8. I thought this would be impossible, but I found a way. I have been told not to deconstruct a postmodernist, but I am shameless. I hope that you like it, Fireblossom.

  14. Oh what fun...to be encouraged to lie and by a nun no less. :)

  15. Talking of bare-faced, in lies or otherwise:
Maybe Megan Fox [as a nun] should go bear-faced like Heidi Klum with her teddy-bear print for children in need :-)

  16. Hope you have a great weekend

Cold and frosty here this morning in Ireland,
hoping it is warmer where you are!

  18. Oh, I've had a l-o-n-g day and am off to transport a daughter to a party... what else would a mom be doing on a Saturday evening...

I LOVE the title and this prompt. I most likely will be posting this for Open Link Monday, but I will be 'round soon to read all the poems.

  19. Shay, thank you for actually asking me to bullshit you. I think you will be pleased with my choice of subject! Brilliant prompt, thanks so much, just in time for elections... Amy

  20. Oh shit, mine would have been longer but I confused Trifecta with Toads (twenty lashes with a wet eyelash) and did the 33 words. What a freaking dunce. Serves me right that I have to go to church tomorrow, hee hee. Amy
