Open Link Monday

Welcome to the Imaginary Garden ...

'A rose by any other name...'

... where real toads like to swing by every Monday.

It is always a pleasure to welcome everyone to Real Toads on a Monday.  I look forward to a day of fun reading and lots of activity as poets stop by to share, reflect and visit.  You are free to link any poem you choose, whether newly written or a piece from your archives, as long as it is your original work and not that of a group or any form of advertisement. Every so often, I must point out to new-comers that this site does not work well as a hit and run. There is nothing to say that you have to be polite and at least return a comment if someone else left one for you, but this is a small forum, and such activity does not go unnoticed.  Real Toads will not prove very advantageous for your blog if you don't do some hopping - we are all about working together.

  1. Hey Kerry! Here is the other poem from the Sunday challenge, the one with rhymes instead of repetitions. I was lucky to find two poems in my mind and heart on Sunday!

  10. Real Toads has been targeted for spam. I had to delete over 450 such messages in the last 2 weeks, many of which were not filtered. I turned the word verification on, but thought it did not work in the pop out commentary. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience, but this is a necessary evil until the robots go find some other blog to plunder.

  11. Sorry about the spam. That's such a pain. I didn't come prepared with poetry, but I can offer a link to a poem I wrote a while back and posted on my blog. Hope that counts!

  13. @Ms McKenzie, Spam is not welcome and only links to poetry are accepted in IGWRT.

  14. What a hassle, Kerry. So sorry. I hope they go away. I seem to be on a Sky theme these days - maybe because life on earth feels so perilous these days - so I posted an oldie from 2011. I look forward to some good reading in the garden this morning! Thanks, kids.

  20. It is still afternoon here in California so I am not so late for Monday! I am late for the real inspiration for this poem, which was Kerry's Wednesday prompt--which I AM too late for!

  21. Well, half way through reading everyone's poems...and so happy to be reminded how many wonderful poets are right at our fingertips and willing to share. Having a lovely time reading everyone's poetry. What a treat!

  22. Kerry, sorry about all the trouble you've been having. I'm on WordPress and they do a good job of filtering even questionable "friendly" posts, so I have to check spam daily and "un-spam" some folks.

Mine is about depression, so if anyone is bummed out, you can either skip it, or come on over and have a good cry on me! It's all good, eventually.

    Welcome, WabiSabi! Peace, Amy

  23. I am fairly new to Real Toads- thanks to my friend Shanyn- I'll share when I have a poem- which can be sporadic. I try to visit a few links each visit especially if someone has visited me- I usually try to visit , follow and comment. Sometimes my schedule allows limited time to squeeze it all in. I do my best to get around, but inadvertently go back and find I may have missed someone. Wishing you all a a gracious and Happy Thanksgiving.
