Good day to all our members and visitors. We invite everyone to join in our open link by sharing a poem today. There are no rules to the kind of poetry you would like to link up, nor whether it is current work or a piece from your archives. Please spend some time reading and commenting on the work of others. This is a small forum and those who use it merely to showcase their own work may be disappointed to find that they receive few visitors.

  1. Hello Toads! Sharing a poem I wrote a while back. Not the most complex of ideas, but in my own simple way, it was an introspection :)

Wishing everyone a great week ahead!

  3. I'm afraid mine was a little heavy, but so was my heart and my thoughts at the time I wrote it. Sometimes the world can be terribly cruel.

I love that picture that you included in your post.

  4. I posted a chunk of "how the light gets in" written since Friday's prompt. Sometimes surgery has to assist the natural crack in everything.
I literally have surgery this Thursday to remove a small benign tumor from my stomach lining that can't be completed endoscopically. It shouldn't keep me absent for too long though I may be a bit more absent minded than usual.

  9. Howdy, my fellow Toads! Wrote something dark this time... that's what I get for watching an Elizabethan movie with my pencil close at hand. Look forward to reading yours! Peace, Amy

  10. Happy to be here and discover the origin of imaginary toads in real gardens (Marianne Moore's writing.) I'm a little late--happy to join in!

  11. It's midnight and I WILL be back on Tuesday to comment. We have our house up for sale and the last few days we have had to clean it for some showings. It is a TON of work ... and no luck so far. Not sure I will be doing this for much longer....
