Welcome to the Imaginary Garden ...

Greetings to all our friends and visitors to Real Toads. Today, I would like to share news of an email I received from Dr Hisashi Nakamura, whose poetry was referenced in a form challenge on Tanka poetry by Grace O'Malley, back in March 2012. A Frog in his Fresh Waters
Dr Nakamura was searching for tanka related websites when he happened upon Real Toads, and he was sincerely thankful to see that one of his poems was featured, as well as his definition of 'yugen'. He has also extended the invitation to any follower of Real Toads who would like to discuss tanka with him.  It is a real privilege to receive such generous feedback. Thank you, Dr Nakamura.

Our Open Link forum is available as always for poets to share their poetry, read the work of others, offer sound commentary and show support for their fellow writers. I hope that everyone will consider their time well spent in the garden.

  1. Hi Kerry of the flowers and Toads! My poem today is one that doesn't seem poetic except for its tight structure--but I keep working it because of its core riddle about the stories we tell. I think the answer is that each of us is ... AH, answered riddles are no fun.
