Words Count With Mama Zen

homophone is a word that is pronounced the same as another word but differs in meaning, and may differ in spelling. The words may be spelled the same, such as rose (flower) and rose (past tense of "rise"), or differently, such as carat, caret, and carrot, or to, two, and too.                                                                                                                                                  ---Wikipedia

Today, we're playing with homophones.  Any topic, any form, but your piece must include at least one pair of homophones . . . and, be 75 words or less.

Have fun!

  3. I think I may not have followed the directions (I saw the prompt early-then it was gone and I didn't see "using pears, er, pairs" and I am too lazy to go back and change it.

  4. Hi Mom Zee ~~ this is a fun challenge. I too hurried around Monday evening (??) and had a little something ready to post Tuesday morning. But this page was gone!!

Not a problem for me except I 'might' had a better entry for you. Not all of the toads like car poems. I might should switch to cowboy poetry, I've been thinking of researching those. That will happen when I change into my Willie Nelson look again.

  6. GM--you can just hit "publish your comment" without doing the word verification. It is a glitch with Blogger.

  10. Aha, what with all the losing of the page and then coming up with something less than perfect...all the Toads seem to have had the same problems, so I don't feel so bad about starting this several days ago, and finishing it today. Better late than missing entirely, as I have so often been in the past year.
Always nice to return for a visit, Toads.
    Luv, K
