On the sixth day of this 2015 April National Poetry Month, it is possible that you, like me (Manicddaily a/k/a Outlawyer a/k/a Karin Gustafson), are beginning to see stars. For this prompt, I ask you to just go with that vision. That is, see stars and write about them.
Note that you should feel free to use this prompt to write about any kind of star. So, if Ursa Major doesn’t bite you, try Elvis, Marilyn, even Robert Pattinson, who, I am embarrassed to say, used to hold a great deal of fascination for me. (Bite is perhaps not the right word.)
If clouds are all you can see at the moment, those are fine too. (A poem about the absence of stars is a poem about stars in my book.)

well, Karin, I suppose my pen yesterday was better suited, but cobbled together something all the same. thanks for the prompt. I know it's hard to take the 3 minutes to watch a video when blog hopping - but worth the time...

ReplyDeleteI had not even cheated and peaked at this prompt k but woke up with a star poem in my head--now I have to polish it up a bit so it shines at least a little--then will be back--and I also want to second your thanks to everyone at the Garden for this month's wonderful joint effort, not just inspiring with excellent challenges like this, but for the support given in visiting and commenting. ReplyDeleteThank you, Karin! I love this~ My parents met at a movie theater and the local elephant at a tourist site ended up on the theater. My father gave my mom her first elephant. Now, the elephant stands on top of the theater. My father is in heaven. Here is a link to the theater-and thank you, so much I will share this with my mom~ You are sweet!
