The Tuesday Platform

Welcome to the Imaginary Garden ...

Greetings to one and all who visit with us in the Garden this week. Yes, it is a week set to be dominated by POLITICS. However, let us not forget in the lines of rhetoric we are exposed to an a daily basis, what is truly important in these times: love, friendship, good citizenship and taking care of our planet for our children's sake. This is the stuff of poetry.

  1. After the buzzing and shouting flying around this week, I'm more than ready to see what the 9th will bring...

  2. Yes, this is a day for watching the U.S, most of the educated world will be regardless of where they live. And regardless of whether or not they can or will vote. Our family has already voted, it didn't really count as Texas is a Red state, decided even before the first candidate decided to run for office.
I posted my last poem, or is it still a song. It can apply to politics as well as to love. Our Republican candidate wants us all to "get off this train," as do Hillary's people wish to "stay on this train." I don't wish to change trains.

  6. I still have some trepidation as I head to the polls this morn, my children in tow -- Like Jim, I fear my vote will not count because of the state I live in. But I will go out if only to show my children that we all must use our voices (no matter how small) --

The post I'm linking is a continuation of my novel previews - Chapter 1 of Tiger Kingdom & The Book of Destiny. It does have a poem as its beginning. But since the rest is prose, I won't be affronted you don't read/comment on it. Thank you to those who've been encouraging during my novel writing process!

I wish you all a peace-filled (as much as it is possible) Election Day. Stacie

US politics are very much news here and we await the outcome with trepidation. I think I will be staying up late...

    Kind regards

  13. Well, I have combined politics with some sweeter subjects, but it's not exactly a positive poem.
