The Tuesday Platform

Welcome to the Imaginary Garden...

Greetings at the beginning of a new year! Before we rush headlong into 2017, with a list of complaints as long as our arms, perhaps it is fitting that we pause and reflect on the state of humanity, as seen through the eyes of our elders. Here I share an extract from Human, a film by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, in which Jane Goodall shares her thoughts.

The Tuesday Platform is an open forum, in which poets share something old or new. Please join us: link up, and enjoy the space. This is your community and all are welcome.

  8. Hi kids, I am at my beloved beach and the weather and scenery are spectacular. Sigh. Our last day here. Watched the sun come up every morning, and set every night. I don't know how to link up on my tablet, but posted Owl Dreaming this morning. Happy New Year, fellow Toads!

  9. I have just passed through the poems, and find it amazing how many have been written on similar thoughts... it feels like it had been a prompt without it ever being there.

  10. I agree with Bjorn. Timoteo's could fit into our trilogy, eh?

  11. The Jane Goodall interview is wonderful! Thank you. I think I might post it on facebook; such a great new year message. I suppose the poem I've chosen to share this time is also about endings and new beginnings – but I picked it mainly because it hasn't had a lot of readers yet.

  13. She was an amazing person! I enjoyed the video. I'm a day late with an old haiku. I'll be around to read the next few days. Must see what Bjorn is talking about. Lol!

    Hugs!
