Hello fellow poets and poetry lovers. I've been enjoying the lull of the post holiday season, but that doesn't mean I've been completely slacking. I have a lot of big goals for the upcoming year and I'm working on planning the best way to pull them off. A little planning can go a long way to help get us where we want to be.
My plans for victoriously taking on the new year definitely include working on some poetry. Submit a poem, new or old, to inspire everyone in our pond in the link below. Don't forget to see what your fellow poets have created this week. If you like something, don't keep it to yourself. Conversation and constructive feedback in the comments section is always welcome.

ReplyDeletemy first haiku/senryu post that started me doing them daily. Today, I reworked my essay about haiku vs senryu. In case people are interested in poetic history/anthropology, today I found a link to a pdf of a 1945 full-length article "Senryu Poetry as Folk and Community Expression" about a weekly senryu group at Tule Lake Relocation Center for Japanese Americans during WWII

All pics were added today including the cover of a senryu pub from that Tule Lake senryu group. I wish that was a pdf too so I could see the poems inside but no such luck. I usually don't rework a post but haiku vs senryu is something I think about. With the New year, I am thinking about forms to write within.
