... where real toads like to swing by every Monday.
It is always a pleasure to welcome everyone to Real Toads on a Monday. I look forward to a day of fun reading and lots of activity as poets stop by to share, reflect and visit. You are free to link any poem you choose, whether newly written or a piece from your archives, as long as it is your original work and not that of a group or any form of advertisement. Every so often, I must point out to new-comers that this site does not work well as a hit and run. There is nothing to say that you have to be polite and at least return a comment if someone else left one for you, but this is a small forum, and such activity does not go unnoticed. Real Toads will not prove very advantageous for your blog if you don't do some hopping - we are all about working together.
Hey Kerry! Here is the other poem from the Sunday challenge, the one with rhymes instead of repetitions. I was lucky to find two poems in my mind and heart on Sunday!
ReplyDeleteHi all Im back from holidays in Tropical Australia
ReplyDeletethis is my attempt at a homage to Fireblossom's "Danny's Coffee Shop" series. {with her permission}
ReplyDeletei hope everyone has a good week and Happy Thanksgiving!
Posted a "Fourth Wall" poem. Wishing everyone in the U.S. a very Happy Thanksgiving.
ReplyDelete(Yikes, I never saw 'word verification' here before.)
Just linked a poem I wrote last night. Running out the door to go to work, but I will be back this evening to read and comment.
ReplyDeleteHello Writers. I am posting here for the first time and would welcome feedback. I hope new poets are welcome. I am looking forward to reading your poems.
ReplyDeleteI posted for Sunday's mini-challenge ~ Happy Monday to everyone ~
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday (ugh) y'all!
ReplyDeleteRise and shine!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday off to hop and dabble with ink
ReplyDeleteThanks Kerry :D
Thanks Kerry. Have a good week all.
ReplyDeletegood morning, everyone! xo
ReplyDeleteMonday Monday...not a good day for the Mamas And Papas, but hope it's a good day for you!
ReplyDeleteReal Toads has been targeted for spam. I had to delete over 450 such messages in the last 2 weeks, many of which were not filtered. I turned the word verification on, but thought it did not work in the pop out commentary. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience, but this is a necessary evil until the robots go find some other blog to plunder.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the spam. That's such a pain. I didn't come prepared with poetry, but I can offer a link to a poem I wrote a while back and posted on my blog. Hope that counts!

Thanks for visiting The Write Game and taking the time to comment.
Looking forward to browsing everyone's poems on my week off...and happy to be starting a new blog to share poems after being away for a year! Here's my first little jaunt.
ReplyDelete@Ms McKenzie, Spam is not welcome and only links to poetry are accepted in IGWRT.
ReplyDeleteWhat a hassle, Kerry. So sorry. I hope they go away. I seem to be on a Sky theme these days - maybe because life on earth feels so perilous these days - so I posted an oldie from 2011. I look forward to some good reading in the garden this morning! Thanks, kids.
ReplyDeleteHi everyone, I'm linking up a poem about anti bullying week which started today. It's heartfelt because I've been w victim of bullying so many times. Looking forward to reading your entries now http://llmcalling.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/anti-bullying-week.html
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling very thankful this week.
ReplyDeleteHi everyone. Linking a poem I wrote last week. I have hit the brick wall the last couple of days...can't seem to create.
ReplyDeleteI'm leaving a poem today, but I'm still working on the Sunday mini-challenge!
ReplyDeleteMonday is almost over here in the UK, sorry late posting.
ReplyDeleteIt is still afternoon here in California so I am not so late for Monday! I am late for the real inspiration for this poem, which was Kerry's Wednesday prompt--which I AM too late for!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your blog :):)
ReplyDeleteWell, half way through reading everyone's poems...and so happy to be reminded how many wonderful poets are right at our fingertips and willing to share. Having a lovely time reading everyone's poetry. What a treat!
ReplyDeleteKerry, sorry about all the trouble you've been having. I'm on WordPress and they do a good job of filtering even questionable "friendly" posts, so I have to check spam daily and "un-spam" some folks.
ReplyDeleteMine is about depression, so if anyone is bummed out, you can either skip it, or come on over and have a good cry on me! It's all good, eventually.
Welcome, WabiSabi! Peace, Amy
I am fairly new to Real Toads- thanks to my friend Shanyn- I'll share when I have a poem- which can be sporadic. I try to visit a few links each visit especially if someone has visited me- I usually try to visit , follow and comment. Sometimes my schedule allows limited time to squeeze it all in. I do my best to get around, but inadvertently go back and find I may have missed someone. Wishing you all a a gracious and Happy Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteInternet issues all morning! I had fun with this one ;D
ReplyDeleteInteresting line up. I read a few.
ReplyDeletePrefer to be word-veri free.
Thanks for coming by.
Forgive me for linking this twice. It takes me a while to get it right.
