Hello dear Toads and pond visitors! Time once again for Fireblossom Friday! Today's challenge goes like this: I'm giving you the title, and all you have to do is to write a poem to go with it!
Here's your title: "The _____ ______ ."
I want you to choose any word from the following list for the first word of your title:
terrifying
regretful
miniscule
inebriated
envious
reincarnated
obsessive
lovestruck
studious
unexpected
Now choose any word from this second list for the second word of your title:
sherpa
ecclesiastic
docent
incubus
Gypsy
zookeeper
CSI
zombie
stripper
prodigy
All right, Toads! You've got your title, now write me a NEW poem especially for this challenge! Link up and let us see what you've come up with!
Yay! the first one. Hopefully in sync. :) tks! fireblossom for a wonderful prompt
ReplyDeleteHow about "The Clueless Mouse?!!" I definitely have something to think about today! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteWonderful selection of words and I learnt something new -'docent'.
ReplyDeleteWhat total fun!! Thank you for this prompt, Fireblossom.
ReplyDeleteThis is a hoot, girl!
ReplyDeleteThere's only coffee in my coffee, I swear.
ReplyDeleterock n roll!
ReplyDeleteMarian, you're an Incubus groupie? Hawt. :) I think they have something other than coffee in their coffee.
ReplyDeleteYay!! That was fun!! Thanks FB!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun prompt for a frazzled Friday. Thanks FB.
ReplyDeleteyou should see the back of the Incubus Bus.
ReplyDeleteA very cool challenge, and a lot of concepts to kick around--I of course feel a certain affinity for some words,...ahem, but have had others light a fire under me, so I am trying to decide between two poems--or, I may just post them both.
ReplyDeleteThanks, FB.
Thanks for a good prompt. Looking forward to some good reading.
ReplyDeleteSorry pardon yet again for not being serious! ♥
ReplyDeleteGuarang, your sign in thingy wont let me post. Just wanted to say your vivid nightmare would do me in. I hope I never have one like it. Makes for a good poem, though!
ReplyDeleteFun Friday! :D
ReplyDeleteOff to play~
Marian, that would be the Incu-bus, yes? Isn't that a Residents song? or maybe the Replacements. "On the bus". One of those 80's R bands. REM. Roxy Music. Ratt.
ReplyDeletethis dude is an INCUBUS. he don't wanna kiss me on the bus. :)
ReplyDeleteLoved yours as always, Marian. You always deliver!
ReplyDeleteI want to write another one! I love this challenge :D
ReplyDeleteI have to run to a football game, but I will be back to read. I'm only stay for 1/2 the game. My daughter preforms at half time-I know me bad!
SHAY!!! I am dumbstruck - this is too hard. It's almost midnight and I have to go to the horse barn in the morning and then run to my daugher's college and take her grocery shopping, etc. I don't want to read anyone's yet (but I did read Mama Zens as she posted early and I was tempted)... and now I'm intimidated ;P
ReplyDeleteSigh. Will come back and post late if my brain can get creative... Good night.
My first poem of this kind of prompt - a bit of a challenge but lots of fun!
ReplyDelete@Gaurang Rao
ReplyDeleteI couldn't post on your blog - something about "legacy mode" or something... anyway, just wanted to say - so glad it was a dream even if it was a nightmare.
Love the challenge Fireblossom! Sorry I am late!!
ReplyDeleteI tried...not sure how that one turned out...but had a good time doing it.
ReplyDeleteI hope that I got around to everyone. If I somehow missed yours, please let me know!
ReplyDeleteAh..not a writer but I do love frogs and toads..Michelle
ReplyDeleteI am very late to this party but there are so many ideas here I could not resist. This is Karin of Manicddaily.k.
ReplyDeleteDebi, I could not post on yours either so I put it with the Monday page. But this is for Firebloom Friday (I should not have watched the news today so it is political with a lot of inside cultural idioms and jokes trying to make sense the two lists for a title evoked.)
