For some reason the book title “The Things They Carried" (by Tim O'Brien) hopped into my mind when I was thinking about the challenge for Toads.
We all carry many things: with our arms, our bodies, or with
our minds.
Though the heavy things people physically carry might seem like the
most difficult task, sometimes it is those things carried in the mind that are
most challenging. It is also a different
kind of challenge to carry something very delicate or to carry something
secretly. And then there are the things
animals carry.
This old saddle in Arizona carried someone on a horse, the words carry a message. |
All sorts of ways to think about things carried. So that is the prompt for today: Write
about things carried.

Such a great prompt! I have been carrying it around with me for several hours now, still deciding what to write!
ReplyDeleteLate again, of course, of course! I actually wrote something earlier that was inspired by O'Brien's title. I'll look for the link and post it, if that's okay.
