Welcome to Play it Again, Toads! where archived challenges of this Imaginary Garden come to life again. Have fun exploring the side bar (2011 - 2016) and selecting your own or choose from three I've highlighted below.
Kerry's Wednesday Challenge ~ Pastiche (December 2012)
Music with Marian ~ A Walk on the Wild Side (November 2013)
Sunday Mini-Challenge hosted by Grace (December 2014)
Good evening toads, I seem to be the first linking up... has to be the timezone... pastishing Lou Reed seemed to be called for, as I had already done Grace's prompt...
ReplyDeleteI had not done Grace's prompt (nods to Bjorn), so I took my own swing with James Wright.
ReplyDeleteWe needed this, Kerry. James Wright looked like fun but I took the easy route and wrote what came to mind after a renewal dose of Lou Reed. I like his songs.
ReplyDelete..
Angie, your link was faulty so I relinked it.
ReplyDeleteHey Kerry, what a wonderful choice of prompts. I stuck with the James Wright, whom I just love. There's one poem of his, by the way, that I heartily recommend--called A Blessing--I can get a link. He also has The Blessing, I think, but I haven't read that one yet! Ha.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for all you do. k.
I'm afraid I got my knickers in a twist and got the posts mixed up. I posted my poem and commented on all the poems in the original post from December 2014! I had a rough night worrying about my daughter and am suffering from sleep deprivation. I'm really sorry if I've caused any confusion.
ReplyDeleteSorry, it was the wrong link too! Please disregards my first link.
ReplyDeleteSorry for being late returning visits... I have been working the whole sunday on a second draft for a short story I've just submitted... :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Kim.. Sorry for the confusion. I thought your first poem an excellent example of pastiche in terms of mixed media, so I have no problem with its being shared here today. Hope your daughter is feeling better.
