Getting set for more and better. Growth, the American way. I'm looking forward to reading the others, there ideas. I'm in a down mood perhaps, by my writing but really I feel great.

Thank you for the introduction to this delightful artist!
ReplyDeleteLoved the prompt. For me this was a new artist, but such a wonderful singer and loved the text and the NPR concert particularly...
ReplyDeleteMade me write something very lighthearted actually.
Hi Marian, a great artist you chose there. My poem is a mixture of hope...and not.Have a great new year!
ReplyDeleteHello, everyone! Wow, so many responses already, how wonderful... I'll be around in a bit to read all of your poems and am very glad for your enjoyment of DeQn Sue. She's awesome. Happy New Year!!! xo M.
ReplyDeleteCool prompt. I have actually lived this song - twice. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI love her Marian! I actually chose another song of hers for inspiration. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! I have reworked an old poem. I hope it suffices!
ReplyDeleteTo amend my comment above, I didn't get much from the song to be honest. I guess I'm not hip or something. But I was inspired to hope before this. sorry. I'm half deaf and don't always "get" the lyrics of new songs. But I have heartily enjoyed the poems inspired by this prompt!
ReplyDeleteGood Evening, Poets! Thank you, Marian, for such an aspirational post! I enjoyed the song, and it reminded me of this haibun I posted at dVerse a month ago.
