  1. This prompt took me back to the days when I would drag my radio alarm clock outside to sit in the sun for hours! Thanks!

  2. My inspiration came more from the title than the song.

  3. Well, I got through about half the video and realized why music and being an audience is so lost on today's generation. They think life is TV and don't worry about talking through even the best performers!

Got all nostaligic then...! Great prompt, thanks, Marian! Amy (the new Toad in town)

  4. hey, you take what you take from a prompt! i find this video mesmerizing and the quote from the song, well, that's just plain ole true for me. :)
glad to see some responses... radio silence at first, heh. xo

  5. This prompt may have finally gotten me into Rob Zombie, so congrats to that. I love the film, the aethetics are right up my alley and have inspired something in me! I love the song too. Totally awesome prompt Marian. Also, rob zombie in his quasi-coke bottle sun specs and hippie dreads sort of reminded me of John Lennon. Discuss...

  7. hah! John Lennon. totally!
okay i will just say i really dig this song and video but i'm a big fan of Rob Zombie generally, & his music is the soundtrack for a fair amount of my poems! he has a brand-new record (best album title possibly ever: Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor) and this is the new song. i thought it might play here in the Garden, as the video is intriguing and the homage to radio is fairly universal, i would think.

  8. My link to the prompt is more a metaphorical than an obvious link, I think.

  12. I knew what song i wanted to riff on right away, but it took me until now to put together the poem!

  13. FB, Mr. Otto wrote a terrific poem responsive to this prompt... but the link just goes to his blog generally, so you didn't see it if you looked late.
