The Tuesday Platform

Welcome to the Imaginary Garden...

Greetings to all poets and peace-makers!
It is the day to share our thoughts in poetry, here where the platform belongs to those who embrace the concept of the pen being mightier than the sword, the song more powerful than the war cry.

Let us reach out and hold fast: write: share: read: respond.

  1. I'm glad this concert was given for the victims - it took courage and bravery - for the performers and the audience.

  4. Courage can be found, in the simplest things, if one is willing to look, and not prejudge others. Just standing up and willing to be counted, is one.

  8. I watched the concert on Youtube... it reminded me a bit of Live Aid... the same sense that we can do something.

  11. I caught some of the concert on youtube too, and watched it with my little girls. Then I made the mistake of reading them an article about what happened at the previous concert, at which point my six-year-old got very upset and scared.

I hate them knowing what's going on in the world; it makes them think that anything can happen --- anytime, anywhere, to anybody. No child should know that that's true.
