I have returned to the MINI angle of the prompt and combined it with the FORM challenges we enjoyed in the past.
The object of this challenge is to write a poem in no more than 10 lines. You may choose your own form (or go with free verse, if preferred).
For those who would like a bit of guidance, or further choice, I have provided a link to The Poet's Garret page, showing a variety of 10-lined form poems.
The subject matter for your poem is wide open, but bear in mind the 'Up Close & Personal' angle. I look forward to reading a variety of short poems, from Saturday through to Monday. The link does not expire, so please feel free to write more than one poem.

P.S. No more than 10 lines but it may be less. The decastich forms are by no means prescriptive.
I love the return to the mini-aspect, Kerry, and of course, to form as well, though this time I have written in free verse. I have at least stuck with the up close and personal aspect. ;_) Thanks so much for hosting.
Oh.. a form and mini, and form. It brought me back to triolet, that was a long time since I wrote.. hope I got close as personal too..
Warm greetings and best wishes!
I'm looking forward to trying this.
Lovely - enjoying this short form - like the feeling of ten lines... Happy poeming to all ...
Micro is such a great way to focus on word choice...and zooming in is always a good practice, too, I think. Thank you, for the challenge, Kerry.
I've paired this with M's Get Listed challenge as well.
Happy weekend to everyone. :)
Hi Kerry. Thank you for this prompt. I put three small pieces together. I hope that is ok
Thanks Kerry for lovely form challenge ~
Ten lines, I didn't count the words. But, a even one hundred syllables. Not sure that is micro? Fun write even for something not turning out very cute like I was thinking it would have been.
Thank you, lets do it again next month.
..
A great prompt. It just flowed for me.
I think, with Jim, that 10 lines is quite long for micro. Yet I had trouble fitting all I wanted to say into 10, even though some of my lines were longish. I think/hope it qualifies as 'up close and personal'. Now to see what others have done!
After reading through all the great entries, I had to do a second entry.. :-)
Posting a small personal wish ... fantasy. Lovely prompt!
I am so pleased to see how many have enjoyed this prompt (I was at a bit of a loss as to what challenge I should do).
@Rosemary - 10 lines was the maximum number, and anything less (and more micro for you) was equally fine for me.
@Bjorn - I am thrilled you came back for another turn. Thanks to all who have taken up my invitation to write more than one poem.
Such a long time since I have visited here, nevertheless glad to have my mojo back!
Anna :o]
God, I showed up at the eleventh hours, jumped in quill first, & had some warty fun. I will get around to visiting folks beyond the close of the link, it seems.
Well, I jumped in after the 12th hour :) I will be visiting ... but it will take time as there are a lot of links! Great. Can't wait to read them all.
