Obscuring the truth with facts: out of standard

Greetings Garden Dwellers!
Welcome back to Out of Standard, where I will set before you a challenge to defy the conventions of a particular theme.  I will call upon you to write out of the standard and find new places in the everyday.  It is in that spirit in which I present July’s challenge...

OBSCURING THE TRUTH WITH FACTS

Today, I am calling all toads to wake from their daydreams (just for a while), and focus on incorporating a little teeny bit of reality into their work.  Facts and trivial bits of information, when incorporated into a poem and bring the truth to further light.  Today your challenge is thus...

Visit The Amazing and Interesting Fact Generator for a factoid, then build a poem around it.  How, when, and why is up to you!  The purpose of the prompt is not to add the fact in randomly, but to think about it and craft some fitting poetry.

*You may click on the “Hit Me Again” button if your fact is not particularly inspiring, but I find the challenge more rewarding if you take what the almighty folks at Mental Floss give you at first blush.*

**If you would like, you may use more than one fact, but easy now!  Leave some room for poetry**

KEEP IN MIND
Like every challenge, your poem must by newly written for this challenge and not one which you have previously written which conveniently fits the theme.

So go now, my muddy buddies, and bring us back something shiny and new.
