Descanso Japanese Garden Area, La Canada Flintridge, CA, Early Spring, ~ Michael Locke's Flickriver |
It is my pleasure to welcome all to the garden, where I hope you will feel a touch of Spring in the air. If you have any seasonal poems you would like to share today, we would love to read them, or select another poem which you would like to link up. Anything goes in the garden on Monday.
Part of the magic of our Open Link is that it is relatively small, with generally fewer than 30 links. This means that it is possible to enjoy several poems, without the time spent reading becoming too much of a chore. However, when visitors link up but do not visit other sites to read the work of the poets who have linked alongside them, it is very noticeable. The garden will be of no value to such a person, because the lack of interest in the work of others will be returned. Let Spring be our guide this month: make new connections and renew old acquaintances so that we can all grow together.

Happy Monday Everyone!
Happy Monday and almost spring to all. Hope your part of the world is bright today.
Such a gorgeous garden. Isn't a descanso one of those roadside shrines?
I have linked ms. coal up, and was thinking of linking my own Fireblossom Friday poem here cos I posted it so late that it was like i wrote a poem and nobody came. But, since I am off today, I will try to write a brand new one instead.
Happy start of the week, Toads!
Happy Monday! Have a great week everybody :)
Just linked up with a poem that was in part an attempt fit the "man in uniform" prompt, but ended up not being right for that. But it is fitting for spring. I will be back this evening when I get home to enjoy the other poems that are linked up. Thanks for hosting!
good morning, friends. good morning.
I'm still working on my poem for Kenia's photo challenge... *pant*pant*... May have to link up an oldie.
Since anything goes, I have linked my Sunday poem here too... My bad!
Gorgeous photo, Kerry! I linked up to one from last spring...
I have written a new poem about spring with Neruda as my inspiration ~
I will be back to comment on your lingks (am still in the office) ~
Happy Monday ~
I'm so excited to get the Soundcloud thingy right, I've linked my tester here too.
Goodness. I just made my apologies for not being very visible this last week. I'm looking forward to walking around the garden this afternoon.
Thank you! Have read some great stuff here already today. :) de
Hey all
Hey, everyone. I linked up to my wordpress blog this time. I hope you'll pray (or send good vibes) to a friend...
Well...not so seasonal, couldn't find a good seasonal one so this is just one of my older ones...hope thats OK.
Mary Ann Potter--I tried to go over to your blog, but for some reason I am not able to open blogs that have shabbyblog.com them (I have no idea why, I've had that problem for over a year). American woodcock chicks are precocial, meaning they are able to leave the nest within a few hours after hatching. So it very well could be that your woodcock babies hatched and left the nest with their parents. Hopefully that was the case! (and hopefully you will see this comment. I appreciate you coming over to my blog.)
Finally came up with something. Well, not really. Posted a very old poem I've probably posted for Toads before, and a new bit of nonsense I wrote today. Wouldn't want everyone to think I've become serious or anything.
Really enjoyed everyone who posted before I did. That's the good thing about Open Link, I can read others first without worrying I'll accidentally-subliminally copy their take on a prompt.

I am in the middle of another big sigh and been prone to bed more than rise. posted an old poem which depicts that sentiment.
Thank you for hosting!
Here's is a group of autumnal haiku from last year. Apt as autumn has made its presence felt in Melbourne...
Glad to have discovered Open Link Monday, and pleased to participate. (Even though it's Wednesday now!)
This poem, "Whispers" seems to bloom perennially, every spring!
