One must make a distinction however: when dragged into prominence by half poets, the result is not poetry, nor till the autocrats among us can be “literalists of the imagination”—above insolence and triviality and can present for inspection, imaginary gardens with real toads in them, shall we have it.

Play it Again, Toads!

One World Trade Center (NYC) from the Staten Island Ferry
Welcome to the 19th Play it Again, Toads! where we revisit archived challenges of this Imaginary Garden.  Choose your own archived challenge from the sidebar (2011-2015) or select from three I've highlighted below.

Feel free to use my photos here for inspiration with an archived challenge if you so desire.

The iPhone photos were taken on one of my trips this summer to visit my son and daughter in New York.  Manhattan is always an experience, but I have fallen in love with Brooklyn and enjoyed Prospect Park numerous times (of which the images below are from and have been rendered in an App called "Waterlogue" for privacy).

Please submit an original poem and link your specific post to Mr. Linky below and be sure to make it clear which challenge you are resurrecting by including a link.

Please be neighborly and visit the other wonderful poets.

1)  Imagined by Kerry "Cadence in Free Verse"

2)  Imagined by  Hedgewitch "Etheree(al)"

3)  Imagined by Hannah - "Boomerang Metaphors"

Thanks for sharing your wonderful photos, Margaret and for directing us to a great choice of previous challenges. I am especially fond of the Boomerang form and am looking forward to reading the responses to that and the other options too.

Oh!! Such fun ones to go back to and thank you, for bringing the Boomerang back and gratitude to those who've mentioned liking it!

I'll need to come back and play poetry later tomorrow...I was clipping Hawthorn and didn't use gloves...any way...my fingertips are Neosporin doused right now and sore.

I'll be back! Smiles to all.

Sanaa Rizvi - I did read you poem and did comment. I'm not sure if it made it, though... it didn't show up.

Hannah - You are welcome - it is such a fun form.

Thanks, Margaret, for putting together this challenge. I am really recovering from work week and may be very late getting something together if I can. k.

I do hope we're allowed two! I couldn't resist trying an etheree as well, after seeing what wondrous things people were doing with that form.
