Hey Kerry--I had seen these 2015 pics before and really enjoyed looking at them again. Then I wrote two 55s, one I think I like better than the either, but neither were really informed by a particular photograph, though they were by the outdoors--will think about retrofitting, or just posting to my own pic and coming up with something from those beautiful N Geo pics. A bit disturbed as Rupert Murdoch has now purchased N Geo. Agh. k.
You can post as many poems as you write, Karin. And your photos are always memorable. This is an open challenge, so please don't be restricted by the Plus! part.
Thanks. The ngeo pics are great, but the poems just came on their own--I've been so stressed lately that poetry has become more and more of a relief and one much needed, so they are coming out of the woodwork a bit! k.
So many great pictures to be inspired from... great choice... and 55 words is always fun to do..
A great plus, Kerry--so many wonderful pics--I had a 55 in the wings, but did find a picture that suited it well, as I had left my image choice till now. Thanks! Will be by tomorrow to read and visit.
I had not seen the picture of the fisher girl cleaning the oil spill before. I had read about the spill quite a bit, but missed that particular photo. Thank you, Kerry... that image touched me deeply.
Hi Kerry ~~ This one was a fun one even though my computer go persnickety and I had to restart it. It balks on the N. Geographic's slide show. I started on my iPad but it balks at transferring the photo.
I chose the "Orangutan in the Rain" which was up front in the slide show. My 'poem', as it often is, isn't much. A slight admonition perhaps. But FUN, FUN, FUN, since my T-Bird flooded under three feet plus of flood water. (That was in 1969.)
..
Hi Kerry--I hadn't originally meant to have the other three, but thought kind of interesting--this one a small --ha! meaning actually just one 55--and also pretty simple--everyone is doing such wonderful ones this prompt--k.
What amazing photos! Thanks for sharing them Kerry!
I have been absent this past week but will try and do this and Fireblossom's challenge. As well as visit and comment on the one I hosted. Holiday has been wonderful but I think routine will be a nice change. Maybe :)
