One must make a distinction however: when dragged into prominence by half poets, the result is not poetry, nor till the autocrats among us can be “literalists of the imagination”—above insolence and triviality and can present for inspection, imaginary gardens with real toads in them, shall we have it.

Fireblossom Friday: Escape To The Past

Fireblossom here, filling in for our very own Hannaballistic. Today I am facing what I fear the most: filling out tedious forms and finding documents and organizing finances and all the stuff that fills me with cold horror. It makes me long for a simpler time, when a girl could stroll through the sunflowers or conjure spells in her Gypsy wagon without applying for a permit.

So, here is what I want you to do. Take a look at these pictures and find one that speaks to you and write from that.

From the dark...

to the light...

to the bookish....

to the days of future past.

I love old black and white photos. They are so atmospheric. Thanks for stepping in at short notice, Shay.

Who wouldn't want to write after reading and seeing all this. I'm late, we've been out of town (South American Princess cruise, LA to Rio) but here I am. One Zillion things piled up to do after being gone sailing 31 days plus a day to get back home. Worst was a water cut-off notice that I was able to stop after late fees and a $10 fee for the cut-off letter (I paid in advance before we left but forgot to put the check in the envelope). I'm mentioning the cruise and have some Peliguin pictures on my other blog for today, "Jim's Little Blog".
