Open Link Monday

Ella's Frog

Good day to all members and followers who happen by the imaginary garden this Monday.  Ellen Wilson sent me these gorgeous pics of her friendly garden amphibian - surely a real toad?

Our weekly Open Link provides all-comers with the opportunity to share a poem, either recent or something saved in the archives.
There are no rules, just the simple stipulation to link up your original work, free from advertising your personal meme, and the encouragement to visit and comment on the work of other poets who use this space. There is no restriction on the poems you may have written and submitted to other sites as an individual prompt response. We would love the opportunity to see the results of your creative endeavors.

Good morning! Lovely how Monday always arrives, and with it this chance to strut. I brought out some very old stuff indeed.

A special good morning for Kerry today after a very busy and thought provoking weekend.

I'm late as usual. Didn't get this linked in on Sunday, because it didn't come to me until the middle of the night last night -- literally, in my dreams. So I'm bringing it in for Open Link Monday. Kerry, I loved your daughter's photos.

I'm experiencing a bit of sadness/empty nest feelings today b/c my kids started back to school.

Thinking of those in FL!! Stay safe. And I hear you, Laurie. I'm only a partial empty nest, but I miss them just the others just the same. Will be 'round later this evening.

I love reading all the poems linked here. I wish I could follow the prompts quickly enough to post! Alas, I am a slow poet!

I wrote this one today. I apologise, in advance, for its darkness.

Hi Aidz. I'm sorry but I tried to leave a comment on your website. When it said enter email address, I saw nowhere to enter it.
I loved the new look, though. Your poem is very soothing read against the background of the evening light.
