Open Link Monday

Calling all toads to the garden...

                                                                                 Anne Hathaway's Garden, Stratford-upon-Avon

Welcome once again to the imaginary garden with real toads, where we share the poesy of our individual flower-bed minds, hearts and souls.  Please select one of your brightest blooms to share with others here.

All are welcome, but if you have the time to post a poem, I would ask you to find the time to read and comment on at least three other posts that have been offered for review.  I have noted that several followers and visitors make use of this open link without showing the courtesy of our supportive environment by visiting the blogs of others.  Such people should not be surprised to get very little out of this particular garden.

Kerry, I agree with what you said about people commenting on other people's poems. This garden is not that large, so it would not be difficult to support one another. Reciprocity FEELS good.

Thanks Mary. It's always good to have your support :)

My poem today is one I wrote for the dVerse theme: 'Wild', so some have already commented. It concerns the poaching of rhino - a topic close to my heart. Thanks to those who have joined the outcry against the exploitation of these animals (and all others too).

This isnt the brightest flower I have to offer. But it is different than what I generally come up with.so your feedback is really vital here.

Kerry O'Connor said...

Sure, Abin. I do hope that the point I made above does not offend anyone, but feedback is a crucial part of this particular gathering place.

My contribution this morning is a piece from a series. Thanks for the opportunity. I am hoping to get specific feedback here; it really helps. So far I am the only one who has ever read this!

Hello ... what a lovely garden it is.

This is about as good as I can do right now. My youngest is home sick.

Laurie, your link doubles back to Real Toads.. You may want to try again.

Some gardens make their feelings known... LOL

I love Toads, and I do always try to visit at least some of the paticipants. Imho, this should go for the hosts of the various features, too...some never visit the people who take on the prompt.

PS--Er...is something wrong with Laurie's link? It just seems to double back here, or maybe I screwed up somehow?

I'm sorry I haven't been there. I am struggling. I read the prompts and my mind feels void. It is life in general, I have had a few heart strings pulled lately. I seem to be ok writing, but my poetry is suffering. I will push through it~

I must say, I am so happy I came by today! I am in awe and amazement of the poems I have read! Stunning, gorgeous, haunting and breathtaking!
WOW...some are so brilliant I had to read them again!

Thanks to all who expressed their views here and for the wonderful opportunity to read your work.

I do strive to visit all the poets who take the time to post, sometimes takes me a day or two but i appreciate everyone who takes the time to stop by...so thanks everyone for making this so great!

I've taken the liberty of adding another link to Doctor FTSE's last poem, which got little notice earlier this month. I know for a fact his time for visiting other blogs is limited, but feel that shouldn't stop Toads reading his 'serious' poetry when it's offered, as I think it has much it could teach us. Do we all only read another's work on the proviso that a comment will be forthcoming? I hope not...
