Open Link Monday

Welcome to the garden ...

In the Head Toad's Garden it's Spring!

... where real toads like to hangout every Monday.

Good day to all toads, wanderers and bards! Whether you are feeling the cold approach of Winter or are looking forward to the warm days of Summertime, you are most welcome to spend some time in our garden. Share a tale, visit with a friend, leave your thoughts behind.

This open link affords us all the opportunity to present a poem of our own choice, without any stipulation except that this space be treated with due consideration for all, in the Real Toads spirit.

Good morning all toads [and toadies]. So good to see something growing so prettily. Lysianthus?
Looking forward to seeing more from Kerry's garden to save our spirits in our barren winter justabout to start here up North.

Common Iris. Perhaps Lysianthus is its fancy name? We had a weekend of torrential rain - good for the garden but I'm happy that Monday dawned bright and sunny.

Well, some things are too disgusting to be doing in public...that's my focus for today. Happy Halloweenie, Toads!

This is also for Sunday's Mini-Challenge and posted here as I was gone all weekend hiking a portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway, NC. I would love to live there someday.

This Monday prompt gave a chance to focus!

I'm relieved to be home. I am too much of a hermit to be reading poems and making friends with people who are actually present: I fear volunteering for committees, having ideas I should put into practice--you know--things I did too much of once upon a time. I'm just not ready yet. Retirement is so sweet, I just want to bask here for a while and sort through the accumulations of several other lifetimes.

@ Patricia. I can't leave my comment on your blog because I can't sign in using the 3 options available. Sorry about that but I really liked your Autumnal scene.

Cool! I didn't have a current post with poetry so I chose an old one. Hope that's okay.
