The Tuesday Platform

Welcome to The Imaginary Garden ...

George R.R. Martin

Greetings to all poets, wanderers and friends! There are times when I question the worth of my words, but I am proud to have been a contributor to the art known as writing. I believe it is a truly phenomenal aspect of human nature, and more momentous than we may imagine.

What words do you have to share with us today? Please link up a poem of your choice.
Remember to stop by tomorrow for our Toads in Tandem feature post. Sherry and Paul were on a roll when they got together recently to bring us a collaborative poem to celebrate the creativity of our garden of the Imagination.

Sending thoughts of love and concern for our friends in Texas. Such nightmarish scenes have troubled my dreams the last few nights.

Also, my apologies for being so short of words to share myself of late. I have entered the very busy portion of our school calendar and am under quite a bit of pressure right now. I do hope things will ease up next month and I will be able to gather up a few poetic thoughts.

Goodnight to you all, as it's my bedtime here. I'll be around to read your excellent verses tomorrow. (They are always excellent.)

Just popping in to say that some of our Garden friends are being impacted by the storm... Susie lives in Houston (though looks like so far they are okay) and I think Jim might be in or near there as well. Anyone else from Texas or heard from Texas friends? I feel like there are more Toads and friends nearby. Let's send love and prayers and whatever we've got to Susie and other friends.

Indeed. I have been praying for all those impacted by Harvey and the animals left behind when their owners fled. I have family in the Houston area. So far, they are okay! I am enjoying reading all the poems submitted. I hope that the folks I read and comment on will at least respond with a thanks even if they do not deem my poems worthy of comment.

... also looks like Laurie Kolp is in the midst of it. :(

Lillian, your link goes to your editor, not your blog. We can't see your poem. At least I can't.

Lillian, I too was not given access to your poem. You may need to change the settings on your blog to allow visitors.
